In 2019, the Residents' Association of Øster Sogn, decided that the town should have a new communal house. Therefore, the association bought the old kindergarten which, with the help of community volunteers and the association, underwent a major renovation and at the beginning of 2020, The Communal House was finished and ready for hire. The Communal House is a beautiful octagon building which is located in the middle of beautiful outdoor areas that offer a large playground, ball fields, and tennis courts. Perfect for big events, family gatherings, and larger gatherings.For their website, it was important to identify what makes customers choose one venue over another and what information they need to book directly. First and foremost, images are vital for customers to see The Communal House and imagine how their party or event fits in. For that reason, the website is very visual, with many pictures and a block gallery showing all aspects of Fælleshuset, as well as some pictures of previous events, so customers can see an example of what The Communal House looks like when it is set up for an event. Next, it was important to make it possible for customers to find out for themselves whether The Communal House is available on their desired date, which was implemented by adding a calendar that contains information about which days The Communal House is already booked, as well as public events held in the Common House.
